Blue Kyanite is an aluminum silicate mineral with a hardness of 4.5-7. It forms in elongated blades and in fibrous masses, ranging from pale blue to a deep indigo. It can be semi translucent (gemmy) or opaque.

Blue Kyanite is useful for dream interpretation and accelerating psychic development. It is frequently used to cut ties and in ceremony for clearing low vibrations, and is said to unite the heart and the crown chakra.  Kyanite does not typically require cleansing, and is very effective at cleansing other stones.
