This 36" necklace of naturally shaped snowflake obsidian chips, is strung on monofilament for everyday wear. I love chip necklaces because you can dress them up or dress them down, and they are a lot of rock for little money.

Snowflake Obsidian is black volcanic glass marked with soft gray inclusions of Cristobalite, each stone unique in its pattern. It's known as a stone of clarity and personal power, valued for cleansing and protecting the aura while supporting insight into old patterns ready to be released. This necklace is grounding and versatile, and combines well with rose quartz and rhodonite.

CARE & KEEPING

Snowflake Obsidian is volcanic glass with Cristobalite inclusions. It is not quartz, so it's a bit softer and can chip more easily — a gentle wipe is best, rather than harsh cleaning or soaking. It carries a natural resonance with the Root and Third Eye chakras, supporting both grounding and clarity.

It's good practice to energetically cleanse your jewelry regularly, especially after wearing it through a stressful or emotionally demanding stretch of time. Smudging, sound, or Reiki are all lovely ways to do this.

After cleansing, charging in moonlight or on a selenite slab are safe and effective ways to refresh and energize all crystals, regardless of light sensitivity.

Snowflake Obsidian is a stone of clarity and personal power, typically reached for when someone is ready to look honestly at old patterns and let them go. It carries a steady, grounding energy — protective and calm, making it a good companion for anyone doing deeper inner work.

A gentler obsidian that black obsidian (which can be quite cathartic), snowflake obsidian combines very well with heart chakra stones to facilitate a gentle lifting of the outdated patterns that may surface.

It's associated with the Root and Third Eye chakras, and traditionally used to support grounding, protection, and insight. It helps bring old habits and karmic patterns into view so they can be released, and is often linked to psychic development and clearer intuition.

Traditionally, it's also been associated with supporting circulation and easing muscle or joint tension, though, as with all crystal properties, this is an energetic tradition and not medical guidance.
