Like regular amethyst, black amethyst is a fairly hard, durable stone, but it is sensitive to light — prolonged, direct sun exposure can gradually fade its color over time, so it's best to store and wear these away from harsh, constant sunlight. Left raw and unpolished, these pieces are still quite sturdy for everyday wear; a gentle wipe is all they need for cleaning. Since the bail is silver-plated, keep it away from chlorine, saltwater, and ultrasonic cleaners to protect the plating.

Black amethyst resonates with the Third Eye and Crown chakras, traditionally valued for supporting spiritual insight, intuition, and a calm, clear mind. Because these particular pieces are very dark and pure amethyst without any grounding inclusions, their vibration runs especially high and intense — some find it helpful to pair them with a grounding stone like Smoky Quartz, Black Tourmaline, or Fascia Jasper, particularly for extended wear or meditation.
